| Tight-fitting exercise clothes are unscientific. Need an air layer.
I bet that would alleviate the stink problem. However, if the
trainers clothes are synthetic, theyll probably stink anyway, as
pointed out above. |

It is that being fat makes one poor, due to anti-fat bigotry.
Really? Then why are low-income children most likely to be fat?
Because the biogtry their parents face? Or could it be the lack
of choice in the food they eat? Or for urban children, the lack
of opportunity to get outside and play?
The number of obese children in low-income families rose 30% from
1983 to 1995. Is that because anti-fat bigotry rose 30% during that
time (numbers from a CDC study as reported 06 JAN 1998)? Or is it
because the number of low-income single parent households rose and
left working mothers with fewer and fewer choices in how to feed
their family?
And its not like poor people are lazy...a survey reported in
the Atlanta Journal and Consitution showed that both poor and
wealthy were similarly informed about the benefits of exercise.
Almost 50% of the surveys 2000 participants had a household

| When I first started I cut back on calories and I (because of the family
dysfunction and the fact that I could not leave my mothers side)started walking
in the house in what was basically a circle for 20 minutes a day, 20 minutes
after each meal.. Personally I feel that this played a part for it kept the
glucose level lower which in turn allowed me access to my fat cells in order to
use my existing storage of fat as a source of fuel.. I am not advocating it as
the preferable type of exercise but for those who might not want to go out there
in public it is a viable alternative.. And it does work.. At least in the
beginning stages.. And stairs are a wonderfully aerobic activity. Of course you
will have to increase the intensity, etc., later on adding weights, but all
movement helps to use up calories. And the more obese one is the more even
walking will aid in the weight dropping off. Bottom line remains: the more
effort you expend the greater the results. |
| In addition, like many people I perspire when I exercise vigorously. So I need
to wear exercise clothes, exercise, then shower and change clothes. That takes
up a good 20 minutes of my 90 minute window. |

Ive just started doing yoga classes, and have nothing stretchy enough to be
able to do the exercises properly. Does anyone know of anywhere in the U.K.
I can get some clothes suitable. I need a large size and mail order would be
preferred. Mae |
